Tastebuds Began As A Catering Company Committed To Providing Excellent Service, Creative Menu Planning and Flawless Implementation of Event Plans for Clients Throughout the Richmond Area in Public and Private Venues. Eventually Chef-Owner Andrew Wisniewski Added “dinners To Go!” To Tastebuds Catering in Order To Better Serve the Neighborhood by Providing Delicious Ready-Made Meals for Take-Out. Our Commitment Was To Provide Our Customers With Fresh Homemade Dinners With Friendly Service and the Convenience of Take-Out. the Take-Out Dinners Became So Popular That Folks Began Requesting Dine-In Service. This Was the Start of Something New for Tastebuds. the Small Store-Front Space At 4023 Macarthur Avenue Was Remodeled To Include Four Tables With Seating for 16 and A Wine and Beer License Was Acquired. This Addition Was So Warmly Received That It Became Obvious That A Larger Space Was Needed. When the Opportunity Arose, the Decision Was Made To Move Two Doors Over To Our Current Location At 4019 Macarthur. This New Restaurant Now Carries the Name Tastebuds American Bistro, Has Seating for 40 Guests and Includes A Full-Service Bar. Shortly After the Move, A New Member, Ryan Baldwin, Was Added To the Kitchen Staff. Chef Baldwin Had Come With A Resume That Includes Such Locally Influential Restaurants As Morgan’s, Café Lafayette and Cabo’s Bistro. At Tastebuds American Bistro, His Emphasis Is On A Seasonally Changing Menu Supplemented With Daily Specials That Respond To Market Availability and Peak-Of-The-Season Produce. in Addition, the American Bistro Holds Special Five- To Six-Course Wine Tasting Dinners. These Themed Wine Dinners Concentrate On A Particular Country's Wine and Cuisine and Are Opportunities for the Staff To Show Their Range of Skill and Creativity.
